Official survives assassination attempt in Anbar

Anbar (IraqiNews.com) The Advisor for Sports Affairs of Anbar province, Sadiq Jameel, survived an assassination attempt when a car bomb explosion targeted his house in the province.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com on Thursday “A car bomb driven by a suicide bomber targeted Jameel’s house resulted in killing four members of his guards and caused material damage to the house.”

“A security force rushed to the incident place and imposed a security cordon around the explosion scene and transferred the dead bodies to the morgue,” the source added.
