MoE discuss possibility to develop renewable electricity sources

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Chairman of the Technology University, Amen Dawy Thamer, met a delegation of the Ministry of Electricity and discussed with them means of developing the electricity power and finding new alternatives for sustainable sources.

A statement by the Ministry of Electricity quoted Thamer as saying ”The meeting included discussing the possibility to conclude memorandum of understanding to develop cooperation through the course which the University establishes to train the engineering and technical cadres in the Ministry of Electricity.”

The statement added that ”The meeting also included discussing developing the mechanisms to develop the renewable energies program and manufacture solar cells industry to produce electric power energy.”

The Director General of Planning Department within Ministry of Electricity Qusay Abdual Sattar stated that ”The Technology University will cooperate with the Ministry of Electricity in the accomplishment and supervising projects,” pointing out that ”The MoE and the Technology University will hold joint scientific seminars to develop all scientific expertise in the electricity sector.”
