Ubaidi: IS shows reservation over Infrastructure Law

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) Member of the Parliamentary Construction and Services Committee, MP Suhad al-Ubaidi, of the Iraqiya Slate confirmed that “The IS showed reservations over the Infrastructure Law.”

She stated to IraqiNews.com “Most of the political blocs showed reservations over this law draft yet they will vote if the government assured them the success of the law.”

“The parliament will not vote over this law during Monday session,” she added, noting that “Some sides have concerns over corruption that may accompany this project and consequently fails,” she concluded.

Earlier, the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, has attended the parliament session to discuss the infrastructure law draft where he expressed his surprise over the objection of some blocs over this law draft, but he admitted some corruption cases to be involved with this law draft.

The parliament identified next Monday session to vote the Infrastructure Law.
