Asadi discuss cooperation means with Fijian Defense Minister

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Interior Ministry Undersecretary, Adnan al-Asadi, hosted at his office in Baghdad a delegation from the Fiji Republic headed by the Defense Minister, Coca Nsegha, and the delegation included the leader of the ground forces as well as the chairman of the UN Assistance Mission to Iraq, Mark Routgerz.

The Ministry of Interior reported in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday that ”Asadi discussed with the delegation several important files and the means to promote the mutual security cooperation between the two countries.”

The statement added that ”Asadi confirmed the commitment of Iraq to develop the mutual relations fr the benefit of both countries,” praising ”The security efforts which were exerted by the security system in Iraq to ensure success of the democracy process.”

According to the statement ”The Head of the Fijian Delegation offered his thanks to the Interior Ministry Undersecretary Adnan al-Asadi for the security arrangements which Iraq provided for holding the Arab Summit which was held in Baghdad.”

The statement quoted the Fijian Defense Minister as saying that ”We are so proud as being a part of the United Nations system which works in Iraq to establish and promote democracy.”
