Explosives seized in Anbar

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Defense announced seizing a vehicle carries (40 KG) of highly explosive material (TNT) in Anbar province.

The Official Spokesperson of the Ministry of Defense, Dhiya al-Wakeel, mentioned in press statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”A joint force of Anbar Emergency Regiment and the police station of Andalus area in cooperation with the Quick Response Force QRF managed to seize a vehicle (Omega type) carries five bags filled of (TNT) explosives,” noting that “The (TNT) is used in manufacturing Improvised Explosive Devices IED and explosive vests as well as car bombs.”

Wakeel pointed out that ”The driver tried to mislead the security forces through accompanying a woman and two children, but, the security forces were ready to discover the trick and arrested him to deliver him to judicial authority.”
