Free Zones concludes largest project for investment in Khor Al-Zubair

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The General Office of the Free Zones associated to the Ministry of Finance concluded a largest contract in investment domain with Basra International Center in field of oil and gas in the free zone of Khor al-Zubair.

A statement by the Office quoted the Director General, Sabah Saleh al-Qaisi, as saying “The Free Zones Office concluded a contract for the largest project in the investment sector in Khor al-Zubair’s free zone,” noting that “The project is specialized in offering the logistic services for the companies operating in the field of oil and gas.”

Qaisi clarified that “The investment contract has nothing to do with the extractive industries or the excavation operations in oil and gas fields,”

He assured that “This project has positive returns on the Iraqi economy through providing jobs for the unemployed people, and attracting the technology.”

“Basra International Center holds numerous similar projects in many foreign countries which enjoy considerable expertise in the investment scope,” the statement concluded.
