Abbawi, Iranian official discuss bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Undersecretary for Policy Planning and Bilateral Relation, Labid Abbawi, met the head of the International Rehabilitation and Research Center in the Iranian Foreign Ministry, Hadi Soleimanpour.

A statement by the Foreign Ministry received by IraqiNews.com on Monday cited “During the meeting, they discussed the scientific development, cultural and academic relations between the two countries and to set up round tables for those interested in political affairs, economics, cultural, scientific affairs and foreign policy in order to achieve peace and development in the region.”

“Abbawi called for cooperation and coordination between the Iranian research center and the Iraqi Foreign Service Institute,” the statement added.

“Before his meeting with the Undersecretary, Soleimanpour visited Baghdad and Kufa Universities, and held meetings with researchers and professors for the same purpose,” the statement concluded.
