SLC MP: Parliament performance not to meet ambition

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Asadi, of the State of Law Coalition stated that the parliament performance does not meet the ambition.

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) on Monday “The parliament endorses all the law drafts that the government needs to perform its tasks and it also corrects the law drafts that need to be corrected.”

“Endorsing the law drafts does not meet the ambition, but it is accepted where there is a new legislative development which we hope to increase within the upcoming period of time to meet the ambition and the needs of the governmental institutions,” he concluded.

Earlier, the Secretary General of the Council of Ministers, Ali al-Allaq, called “The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, to conduct the second phase of the Governmental Reduction due to the pressures,” urging “Maliki to suspend the parliament performance.”
