IS MP stresses necessity of hosting Maliki in parliament over security breaches

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Khalid al-Alwani, of the Iraqiya Slate stressed the necessity of hosting the Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, in the parliament over the last security breaches in Iraq.

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Tuesday, Alwani said “The increase of the bombings and the assassination attempts is a dangerous indicator for the return of violence in Iraq,” noting that “It is unbelievable that Maliki attend the parliament session to discuss the Infrastructure law draft without discussing the security file.”

He held “The Parliamentary Security Committee the responsibility of this issue because it is responsible for the issues related to the security file.”

“We strongly condemn the attack of the Syrian Army on al-Qaim area by missiles which resulted in killing and injuring several citizens,” he added, criticizing “The governmental silence over this issue.”

The Interior Ministry announced on last Sunday that some missiles targeted al-Qaim area coming from the Syrian territories, resulting in killing and injuring several citizens.
