Anbar University inaugurates Desert Studies Center

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Anbar University, Khalel al-Dulaimi, inaugurated the Desert Studies Center in order to reduce the desertification phenomenon which Iraq suffers from.

The Ministry of Education reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com that ”The Desert Studies Center includes several scientific departments such as combating environmental pollution combating the desertification and an advanced laboratory devices.”

The statement quoted the Head of the Desert Studies Center, Abdull Salah Faydh, as saying that ”The scientists and researchers accomplished several application studies in cooperation with the Ministries of Agriculture, Water Resources, Science and Technology,” noting that “The center completed the preparations to establish a scientific conference.”
