Nusayif urges Kuwait to settle pending issues with Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Aliya Nusayif of the Iraqiya Hurra bloc called Kuwait to demonstrate its seriousness in settling the pending issues with Iraq and end the file of the UN sanctions against Iraq.

Nusayif said “To prove its willingness in finalizing the pending issues file between both countries, Kuwait has to reach a compromise concerning the UN Security Council’s resolution No. 833 related to drawing borders between Iraq and Kuwait and relieving Iraq from the sanctions stated in the UN Charter’s Chapter 7.”

She stressed “We did not realize any developments over the past few years in respect to the Kuwaiti efforts to settle the pending issues with Iraq.”
