Basra community conduct funeral for former Basra governor

Basra (IraqiNews.com) A huge crowd conducted funeral ceremony for the late former governor of Basra province Mohamed Musbah al-Waili who was assassinated by unidentified gunmen on Thursday night.

MP, Suzan al-Saad, of Fadhila bloc reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Friday that ”The huge crowd included citizens and politicians in addition to members of the local government who participated in the funeral ceremony of the former Basra governor,” noting that “The funeral procession started from Rahma mosque of central Basra.”

She added that ”The funeral ceremony was attended by many leaders and members of Fadhila bloc and many figures of other political trends.”

An armed group assassinated the former Basra governor Mohamed Musbah al-Waili near (Said Hamed Suach) mosque at 10 PM of Thursday night. \
