MoE returns 57 materials for being radiation contaminated

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Ministry of Environment warned from importing devices and equipments until obtaining the material safety certification from an accredited authority in the country of origin to avoid importing radiation contaminated materials.

The Ministry mentioned in statement received by IraqiNews.com on Friday that ”The Basra Environment Department instructed to return more than 57 imported materials through the border inlets because they were proven radiation contaminated.”

The statement added that ”The patrols of the Ministry in Baghdad and other provinces are implementing scheduled inspection campaigns for materials and equipments which have been imported from foreign countries which may be radiation contaminated.” \
