Abtan describes US’s decision to delete MKO from terrorism list as reckless

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Abdul Hussein Abtan of the Citizen Bloc described the US administration’s decision over deleting the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq Organization that is opposing the Iranian regime, from the terrorist organizations’ list as a “reckless step.”

Abtan said in a statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday “Deleting MKO from the terrorist organizations’ list is a strange issue since it reflects a double-standards state adopted by the US policy,” noting that “We consider MKO as a terrorist organization because it used to support the Iraqi former regime in suppressing Sha’baniya uprising.”

“Iraq has urged to dismiss MKO from the country,” he concluded.

Earlier, the US Secretary of State has announced deleting MKO from the terrorist organizations’ list classified by the US State Secretary.
