IA border soldier injured in Mosul

Nineveh, Mosul (IraqiNews.com) An Iraqi Army soldier was injured due to armed clashes with gunmen near the Syrian-Iraqi borders in Nineveh province.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com on Monday that ”Unidentified gunmen attacked an Iraqi Army patrol near the border checkpoint in Ba’aj district (120 KM) to the west of Mosul city of central Nineveh province,” noting that “The gunmen managed to wound a soldier during the armed attack.”

The source added “The gunmen managed to flee after the attack while the Army forces transported the wounded soldier to the hospital for treatment.”
