Maliki urges LUKOIL Company to expand its projects in Iraq

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, and a delegation from LUKOIL Russian Company discussed the performance of the Company in Iraq and its efforts to expand its projects in Iraq.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki received the delegation of the Company headed by Wahid Ali Alkborove, and he listened to the details of the Company performance in Iraq,” noting that “Maliki ordered to eliminate the challenges that hurdle its works.”

“For his part, the head of the delegation confirmed that the company is going on in its discoveries in oil fields exploiting its positive cooperation with the Oil Ministry which will be result in cooperation in Gharb al-Qirna oilfield at the end of 2012,” the statement added.

“The delegation conducted negotiations with the Deputy Premier, Hussien al-Shihristani over different investments and projects,” the statement concluded.
