Iranian Defense Minister arrives in Samarra

Salah-il-Din (IraqiNews.com) The Iranian Defense Minister Ahmad Wahidi arrived to the city of Samarra, the capital of Salah-il-Din province to visit the shrine of Imam Askari.

Reporter of Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) mentioned that “The Iranian Minister Ahmad Wahidi arrived in the city of Samarra today from coming Baghdad to visit the shrine of Imam Askari and meet the security leaders in the city.”

Wahidi was received by Samarra Operations Commander, General Rashid Flaih , as well as a number of security leaders and local officials.

The Iranian Defense Minister’s visit to Iraq came in response to an official invitation from the Iraqi Acting Defense Minister Sadoun al-Dulaimi.

Minister Wahidi has arrived in Baghdad on Wednesday.
