Maliki to visit Russia on October 8th

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Spokesperson of the Iraqi Government, Ali al-Dabagh, confirmed that “The Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki will visit Russia on October 8 according to an official invitation from the Russian President Vladimir Putin.”

In a statement received by IraqiNews.com, Dabagh said Thursday “According to a formal invitation from the President of the Federal republic of Russia Vladimir Putin, the Iraqi Premier Nouri al-Maliki will conduct an official visit to Russia on top of a political, military and economic delegation for the period of 8-10 October, 2012.”

“The visit aims to develop the political, military and economic relations between Iraq and Russia to serve the interests of both countries,” Dabagh clarified.
