Nijaifi, Iranian Defense Minister discuss developing security system

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed with the Iranian Defense Minister, Ahmed Wahidi, the possibility of developing the security system and the joint work to fight terrorism.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Wahidi stressed the importance of the mutual relations and the role of the parliament in the political process as being the symbol of unity of the Iraqi people.”

“Wahidi assured the importance of the balanced relations that assure the unity of Islam and the peoples of the region,” the statement added.

“For his part, Nijaifi welcomed Walihi at the parliament which resembles the democratic system that brings the dream of the Iraqis true,” pointing out “We have done our best to the Four-side initiative, but unfortunately it was failed due to the internal and foreign interferences,” the statement concluded.
