Talabani congratulates Spanish King on National Day

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, sent a congratulatory message to the King of Spain on the National Day of his country.

A statement by Talabani’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “I am glad to congratulate your majesty on this occasion which is the anniversary of Christopher Columbus’ arrival to the Americas in 1492.”

“On this occasion, I would like to express Iraq’s desire to consolidate relations and cooperation with the Spanish Kingdom,” the statement concluded.
