DOC intends to take Ashraf camp as headquarter

Diyala, Baquba (IraqiNews.com) Dejla Operations Command confirmed its intention to take New Iraq Camp (Ashraf Camp previously) as headquarter for the operations command.

The Commander of Dejla Operations Command lieutenant General, Abd al-Amir al-Zaydi, stated to IraqiNews.com on Saturday that ”Dejla Operations Command will take the location of Ashraf camp as a headquarter for the command after emptying it completely from the elements of the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq Organization since they will be transported from Ashraf camp in Diyala province to Liberty Camp of western Baghdad.”

He added ”The agricultural territories will be returned for their rightful owners and the territories which belong to the State will be transformed for investment projects to servre the people of Diyala.”

The penultimate group of Ashraf camp elements were transported, on last Thursday, to Liberty Camp of western Baghdad.

According to security elements, about (100) person of MKO are waiting to be transported to their new camp in Baghdad after Eid al-Adha. \
