IS MP shows concerns over corruption in Infrastructural law draft

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Mutashar al-Samarai, of the Iraqiya Slate shoed concerns over corruption issues in the Infrastructure law draft, stressing the necessity of performing the infrastructure projects in Iraq.

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “Iraq was damaged due to the war and one of the damaged sectors is the infrastructure where it is necessary to develop it because it does not serve the citizens,” stressing the necessity of “Rebuilding the infrastructure in Iraq.”

“I am not opposing endorsing this law draft, but I am afraid that there will be corruption after endorsing it,” he added.

“All the corruptions issues that were sent to the judicial sides are not settled due to sectarian confessionalism in the political process,” he concluded.
