Jaafary urges to fight corruption

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Iraqi National Alliance Ibrahim al-Jaafary called to address the phenomena of corruption plaguing the State institutions and society with a spirit of responsibility and citizenship.

A statement by Jaafary’s office received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) mentioned that “The head of the Iraqi National Alliance, Ibrahim al-Jaafary, met in his office in Baghdad today a delegation of his supporters and discussed with them the situation of the political process in Iraq and the level of services in the country.”

He stressed, according to the statement, on “Hard work to combat the phenomena of corruption plaguing the State institutions and society in general, and the need to address them with a spirit of responsibility, citizenship through education, reforms and deployment of moral values and Islamic principles.

The statement quoted Jaafary as saying that “Awareness of common goals makes common positions on issues of concerns to the citizens.” / End/
