MP demand to support agriculture in Wasit

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Hadi al-Yaseri, from Wassit province demanded a share from the German financial grant to build new factory to grind seeds in Wassit province.

The member of the agricultural and water parliamentary committee reported in press statement that ”Wassit province has ranked first in the production of seeds for the fourth year respectively, and so, the province demands for more support from the government to contribute in the development of the local economic and achieve the self sufficiency for the province.”

The statement added that ”Wassit province has many ambitious possibilities and the province approved, despite all the difficult conditions and the dryness as well as the shortage in water, that it can provide the best quality of the seeds.”

The statement pointed out ”It is so necessary to allocate funds for Wassit province from the German financial grant to build new Silo to preserve the seed yield from damage and use it in the Iraqi agricultural field.” \
