Iraqi football team wastes more points in World Cup qualifiers

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi National Football Team wasted more three points when it lost its match against the Australian counterpart within the final qualifiers for the World Cup 2014.

The Australian team scored twice in return to one goal for the Iraqi team, leaving the last position for the Iraqi team in the second group which comprises Jordan, Oman and Japan.

The Iraqi team scored first through the forward, Alaa Abdul Zahra (71) but Tim Kahel equalized for Iraq (80) then Arche Thomson scored the second goal for Australia (84).

Iraq is scheduled to meet Jordan in Doha on November 14.
