3 Presidencies to hold meeting soon, says MP

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Abdul Salam al-Maliki, pointed out that “The three Presidencies will hold a meeting with the political leaders to discuss the date of holding the national meeting to settle the current political crisis.”

Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “The meeting will be held soon to identify the date for holding the national meeting,” noting that “This meeting will be preceded by a visit of Kurdish delegation to Baghdad to discuss the means of settling the disputes between the Central Government and the Kurdistani Regional Government.”

“During the recent meetings between the Iraqi National Alliance and Talabani, INA called to hold the national meeting in Baghdad and to set a date for it in addition to settling the disputes according to the constitution,” he mentioned.

“I think it is better to solve the disputes through the constitution rather than according to the political agreements, partnership and confessionalism which will not result in acceptable solutions,” he continued.

“INA has a unified stances to adopt the Proposal of the Political Reforms as a solution for the crisis,” he concluded.
