Sajri warns from endorsing Re-considering Borders law draft

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of Shaab Trend, Ali al-Sajri, warned from the endorsement of the Re-considering Borders law draft suggested by the President, Jalal Talabani.

He stated in a press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Friday “The Re-considering Borders law draft is unconstitutional,” considering it as “A crisis maker that will disturb the situation in Iraq because it will re-consider the border of the disputed upon areas.”

“This law draft is unconstitutional because the constitution states that the president will have to re-consider the borders, but the presidency committee was cancelled in the current term and this needs a modification to the constitution,” he added.

“This law draft will create disputes even if the Kurds could convince the other sides about it,” he concluded.
