AED goes off in Tikrit

Salah-il-Din, Tikrit (IraqiNews.com) The Deputy Commander of the Left Coast Police Department in Salah-il-Din province was seriously injured due to explosion of an Adhesive Explosive Device AED.

Security source stated to Iraqi News IraqiNews.com “The AED, which was attached to the personal vehicle of the Deputy Commander of the Police Department, Lieutenant General Shaker al-Ankud,, exploded in Cantera village of Shurqat district of northern Tikrit in Salah-il-Din province.”

The source added “The security forces imposed security cordon over the incident area and transported the injured General to the hospital for treatment.”
