Araji attends meeting to discuss promoting security in Kadhimiya city

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Assistant of the General Commander of Iraqi Armed Forces, General, Faruq al-Araji, discussed with several local officials and security leaders the security procedures to provide protection for the people who will visit Kadhimiya district during Eid al-Adha.

The official spokesperson of the General Commander office, Dhiya al-Wakeel, reported in press statement received by IraqiNews.com on Monday ”The Commanding General of the Armed Forces, Nouri al-Maliki, instructed to hold a wide meeting at the office of the general commander headed by the chairman of the office of the commander general Gen. Faruq al-Araji and the meeting was attended by Baghdad Mayor, representatives of Baghdad Governorate, representatives of Baghdad provincial council, general secretary of Kadhimiya holy shrine, security leaders and directors of municipality department.”

The statement added ”The participants in the meeting discussed the current security measures and the suggested changes proportion to security and services situations in order to upgrade the level of the services provided for people who visit Kadhimiya,” noting that “The security leaders discussed the details of the security situation and the joint coordination with the concerned sides to promote the cooperation with security bodies.”
