Supreme Joint Committee of PUK, KDP holds meeting in Erbil

Erbil (IraqiNews.com) The Political Bureaus of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Kurdistani Democratic Party held a meeting on Wednesday within the course of their continuous meetings in Erbil.

A statement by the PUK received by IraqiNews.com cited “The PUK and the KDP Political Bureaus met in Erbil on Wednesday to seek to apply the previous decisions they made earlier in the bilateral meetings.”

“It is a part of a series meeting they held earlier to close the political decisions and agenda on the national matters,” the statement added.

“The two ruling parties sought to implement the decisions and promised to continue the meetings to bilaterally have a say in the local and regional political issues,” the statement went on.

“They decided to start the performance of the previously formed committee after Eid al-Adha,” the statement stressed.

“The two sides congratulated the people of Kurdistan Region and the Muslims all over the world on the occasion of Eid al-Adha,” the statement concluded.
