Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President of Kurdistan Region, Masoud Barzani, held a meeting with the head of the Kurdish delegation that visited Baghdad few days ago, Emad Ahmed, over the pending issues between Kurdistan Region and the central government.

A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan received by IraqiNews.com cited “Ahmed reviewed the results of the meetings of the Kurdish delegation with the officials in Baghdad over the 2013 budget, the financial allocations of the Peshmerga forces and the Oil and Gas law draft.”

“Ahmed refered to the memorandum signed with the central government over those issues,” the statement added, noting that “Ahmed assured that the Kurdish ministers and MPs within the central government will be called for to hold a meeting for discussing those issues.”

“Barzani appreciated the visit of the Kurdish delegation to Baghdad, considering it as necessary to settle the pending issues,” the statement concluded.

Earlier, two Kurdish delegations have visited Baghdad and held several meetings with the official of the central government that were described as positive.
