Beecroft congratulates Iraqis for Eid al-Adha

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com)- The U.S. ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Beecroft, congratulated the Iraqi people on occasion of the Eid al-Adha.

A statement by the Embassy received by Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) quoted Beecroft as saying “While Muslims celebrate in Iraq and the world, the anniversary of the faith, devotion and sacrifice, I would like to congratulate you on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.”

He added that “During the time I spent here in Iraq, I saw neighbors, family and friends and they share their best wishes on this precious occasion,” noting that “Being your guests and friends, we at the United States Embassy and consulates in Iraq extend to you our best wishes”
