Hakim renews his call to form Government of political majority

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The head of the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Ammar al-Hakim, renewed his call to for a Government of political majority that protect the rights of the Iraqi communities to settle the current political crisis.

During the ceremony of Eid Prayer in Baghdad, Hakim said “We have to settle the crisis through forming a government of political majority rather a sectarian or communal majority.”

“If you can not adhere to the partnership, then adopt the majority to avoid the stagnation which the country suffers from,” he added.

“The project of establishing the State is at the stage of birth which is very difficult because some sides have a misunderstanding for the concept of the State,” he assured.

Hakim criticizes “The accusations of Ukadh Saudi newspaper for him over smuggling weapons to Saudi Arabia.”

He stressed “The Saudi leadership should not permit to harm the relations between the two countries,” noting that “We thank all the sides that condemn such alleged accusation.”

On international level, Hakim warned from turning the Arab spring into an earthquake that confiscates the rights of the peoples.

He called “The international community to avoid the double dealing with region especially concerning the Syrian crisis where the Syrian people are suffering from the consequences of the violence.”
