IIP delegation visits Lebanese Islamic Group in Beirut

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) A delegation from the Iraqi Islamic Party headed by its Secretary General, Ayad al-Samarayi, visited the headquarters of the Lebanese Islamic Group in Beirut where the two sides discussed the political updates in Iraq and Lebanon.

A statement by the IIP received by IraqiNews.com on Friday cited “The IIP delegation visited the headquarters of the Lebanese Islamic Group in Beirut where the head of the IG, Ibrahim al-Masri, received the delegation.”

“Samarai reviewed with Masri the political updates in Iraq and the challenges that it faces in addition to the stance of the IIP from those updates,” the statement added.

“For his part, Masri appreciated Samarai’s visit that ensures the adherence of the Islamic movements to communicate with each other in all the Islamic countries,” the statement pointed out, noting that “Masri reviewed the political situation in Lebanon and the confessionalism that became a basis in forming the Lebanese government.”

“Samarai presented (Iraq Shield) present to the IG in Lebanon which is the map of Iraq that shows the culture and precious history of Iraq,” the statement concluded.
