Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Walid al-Muhamadi, of al-Wasat Alliance within the Iraqiya Slate considered the attack on the residence of the father of the Finance Minister, Rafea al-Esawi, as “A dangerous indicator.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, Muhamadi condemned the attack on the residence of Esawi’s father, noting that “This accident is unexpected and dangerous indicator on the bad security situation in Anbar province and Falluja district in particular.”

“Such accident increases the doubts over the lack of security in the province and the marginalization of its security leaders in order not to practice their vital role in sustaining security,” holding “The security forces the responsibility for this accident and other accidents in the province.”

Earlier, a car bomb exploded targeting the house of the Finance Minister’s father in central Falluja on Wednesday.

Security source stated to IraqiNews.com “One of the guards of, Hiyad al-Esawi, father of Finance Minister, Rafi al-Esawi, was killed and two others were injured when unidentified gunmen opened fire attacking the house and then a car bomb driven by a suicide bomber exploded targeting the house in al-Risala neighborhood.”

The source did not indicate whether the Esawi’s father was inured or not.

“The casualties count is still initial,” the source added, noting that “The explosion resulted in material damages to the house and the nearby houses while the police forces blocked the attack area in anticipation of other attacks.”

It is worth mentioning that the Finance Minister, Rafi al-Esawi, is among the leaders of the Iraqiya Slate headed by Ayad Allawi.
