Kirkuk-Jihan oil pipeline exposed to sabotage

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) An armed group associated to Kurdistani Workers Party detonated Kirkuk-Jihan oil pipeline.

Officials at the Turkish Energy Ministry stated that “An explosion took place in Turkey, targeting Krirkuk-Jihan oil pipeline which transports about quarter of Iraq’s oil exports, resulted in stopping the flow of the crude oil in one of the two pipes comprising the main pipeline.”

The officials mentioned according to the statement “The explosion did not halt the flow of the Iraqi exports.”

“Meanwhile, the PKK claimed responsibility for detonating the pipeline for sabotage purposes,” the statement added.
