Thermal electricity station to be established in Wasit

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The committee of study and allocating territories for development and investment projects within the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers approved to allocate (180 acre) to establish a thermal electricity power station in Sharhan district in Wassit province.

The general secretariat of the cabinet reported in statement received by IraqiNews.com ”The approve of the committee conditioned to take a written pledge for the concerned person which stipulates not to exceed the Tigris River and not to demand any compensations for the damages which can be caused by floods in addition to start the implementation of the project within six months from the date of the allocation of territories.”

The committee of study and allocating territories for development and investment projects was formed according to the decree (113) of 2011, and this project is one of many projects which were implemented in the provinces to improve the electricity power for citizens.”
