Kinani: Ahrar bloc insists on submitting Final Accounts of 2012 budget to parliament
He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “We insist on this issue to realize what is spent from the budget and the remaining.”
“The lack of the Final Accounts hinders the supervisory role of the parliament where we do know about the spent funds and the reasons behind the delay in completing the projects,” he concluded.
It is worth mentioning that the head of the Integrity Parliamentary Committee, Bahaa al-Araji, confirmed that “The Final Accounts of the budget of 2012 will be presented to the parliament with the draft of the 2013 financial budget.”
Speaking to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com), he said “We called the Council of Ministers to present the final accounts with the draft of 2013 budget.”
“The final accounts will be discussed during the upcoming weeks,” he concluded.
Earlier, the member of the Financial Parliamentary Committee, Majida al-Timimi, revealed that the parliament did not receive any final account for the financial budgets since 2003.
