Financial, administrative corruption behind weak services, assures Hasnawi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Jawad al-Hasnawi, the head of the Services and Construction Parliamentary attributed the weak services to the spread of the financial and administrative corruption in implementing the projects.

Hasnawi stated to IraqiNews.com “The weak governmental supervision, unqualified implementing companies and the corruption are behind the delay in completing the projects.”

“Some projects are stopped completely and the contractors responsible of some other projects are sued for corruption,” he added, noting that “Setting the solution for these projects is very hard.”

He called “The Ministries of Finance and Planning and the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to hold monthly meetings to discuss the impediments that hinder the construction process to upgrade services.”
