Maliki stresses full readiness to provide facilitations for foreign companies

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Prime Minister, Nouri al-Maliki, stressed the Government’s readiness to provide all possible facilities for foreign companies wishing to invest in Iraq.

During a speech at the opening ceremony of Baghdad International Fair, Maliki said “We are fully ready to provide all facilities and conduct amendments on the Investment law if we see any adjustment that may contribute in attracting the foreign companies to participate in the process of rebuilding Iraq and cancel the restrictions on the national and foreign capitals.”

“BIF is a message to the world about Iraq’s economic orientations which has become solid despite the obstacles it faced over the past years,” he added.

The PM continued saying “Iraq heads towards building diverse economy in fields of the industry, agriculture and tourism in order not to count only on oil and gas sectors.”

It is worth to mention that Baghdad International fair has started its 39th round on November, 1st with participation of local and international companies as well as the governmental entities.
