MP criticizes performance of Basra local government

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Mansour al-Timimi of Basra province criticized the services sector in Basra, describing the local government as busy only in implementing pavements projects.

Timimi said that “Basra suffers from poor services presented by the local government where there is clear shortage in the projects of rebuilding the infrastructures and most that can be done by the relevant authorities is to pave the streets.”

“The Iraqi Government is requested now to change its policy towards implementing the service projects and should not waste huge sums of money without touching any real improvement in the services,” he concluded.
