National meeting not to succeed in solving crisis, says Araji

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP, Baha al-Araji, of Ahrar bloc assured that “The national meeting will not achieve successes in case it will be held,” noting that “The political blocs and their leaders do not have real intentions to end the dispute.”

He stated to Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “Some sides attempt to exploit the regional situation but as Iraqis we have to concern ourselves with the Iraqi situation and the Iraqi citizens.”

“Some blocs are related to foreign agenda that aims at disturbing the situation in Iraq by creating crises,” he added.

He confirmed “The necessity of holding dialogues among the blocs to solve the disputes according to the constitution but unfortunately some of the articles of the constitution are interpreted differently by each bloc,” he mentioned.

“The Kurdistani Alliance interpret the Article 140 unlike the Iraqiya Slate while the Iraqi National Alliance interpret the issue of the oil and gas in opposite way to the KA,” he went on.

He urged “To leave the issue of interpreting the constitution to the specialized experts like the Federal Court of the Constitutional experts to give a real and professional interpretation.”
