Maliki, new German Ambassador discuss developing bilateral relations

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, received the new German Ambassador to Iraq and they discussed the means of developing bilateral relations between the two countries.

A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki confirmed the importance of upgrading relations with Germany in all levels,” noting that “He called for active participation of the German companies in rebuilding Iraq especially in the huge projects in addition to exporting some goods needed in the Iraqi market.”

“For her part, The Ambassador stressed her country’s desire to develop its relations with Iraq and the intention of a number of German firms to work in Iraq,” the statement concluded.
