Bateikh describes forming any military force without informing Armed Forces Command as "Rejected, unconstitutional"

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Secretary General of the White bloc, Jamal al-Bateikh, described forming any military force without notifying the Armed Forces Command as “Rejected and unconstitutional.”

In a press statement received by IraqiNews.com, he said “We heard that some sides have formed a new operations command of northern Iraq without notifying the central government and the Armed Forces Command where this is a rejected and unconstitutional issue.”

“The constitution allows the General Commander of the Armed Forces to from the operations commands,” he added, noting that “All must keep the government informed about taking any decision because it is responsible for making decisions in Iraq.”

Earlier, some Kurdish sources stated that Kurdistan Region has formed a new operations command that is called Himrin Operations Command which comprises the forces of Peshmerga and Asaysh in Kirkuk province.
