Talabani, Bahr al-Uloum discuss political updates

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The President, Jalal Talabani, and the national prominent figure, Mohamed Bahr al-Uloum, discussed the political updates.

A Presidential statement received by IraqiNews.com cited “Talabani received Bahr al-Uloum at his office in Baghdad where the two sides stressed the importance of preparing the atmospheres to reach compromise among the political sides.”

“Bahr al-Uloum praised Talabani’s efforts to preserve national unity, stressing the significance of the Kurdish-Shiite alliance,” the statement added.

“Talabani expressed his gratitude to Bahr al-Uloum, assuring his keenness to reduce the tension,” the statement continued.

“Talabani asked Bahr al-Uloum to convey his regards to the religious authorities in Najaf, praising their notable role in sustaining national unity,” the statement concluded.
