Nijaifi, US official discuss crisis between Kurdistan Region, CG

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The parliament Speaker, Osama al-Nijaifi, discussed with the member of the US Council for the Foreign Relations, Bert Mecrick, the political crisis between Kurdistan Region and the Central Government.

A statement by Nijaifi’s office received by IraqiNews.com on Thursday cited “Nijaifi discussed with Mecrick, the mutual relations according to the Strategic Pact between Iraq and the United States of America.”

“The two sides have also discussed the political issues in Iraq in addition to the current crisis between Kurdistan Region and the CG,” the statement concluded.
