Maliki, Putin discuss implementing mutual agreements

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki and the Russian President, Vladimir Putin, discussed during a phone call on last Wednesday the implementation of the mutual agreements that was concluded during Maliki’s visit to Moscow.

A statement by Putin’s website cited “The phone call comes under the request of the Iraqi side.”

It is worth mentioning that Maliki concluded a primary agreement with Russian side over a military cooperation between the two sides with a cost of 4.2 billion.

This agreement resulted in huge debates among the Iraqi political sides where some sides called to cancel it.
