MP criticizes Iraqi Government’s procedures followed in launching investment projects

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Jawad al-Hasnawi of the Services & Construction Committee criticized the procedures taken by the Iraqi Government concerning preparing the statements of the strategic projects.

Hasnawi told Iraqi News “There is weakness in the administrative capabilities at the governorates and ministries in field of preparing the projects’ statements regarding the designation and implementation, where we find lack of professional and technical expertise in this respect that lead to floundering of implementing projects and spread of corruption which leads to the delay of implementing the projects in their time limit.”

“The investment and service sector in Iraq needs making use of the world consultancy offices in implementing projects,” he added.

Hasnawi pointed out “The Ministry of Labor & Social Affairs hinders granting approvals to bring foreign workers, counselors and give them accommodation.”
