Sagheer denies reports attributed to him over Religious Authority, Yaqoubi

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The leader within the Supreme Iraqi Islamic Council, Jalal al-Din al-Sagheer, denied the reports that are mentioned in some websites and attributed to him over the Religious Authority, Yaqoubi.

A press statement by Sagheer’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “These reports are fabricated and groundless and we hope the administrators of the websites to avoid such statements due to the current critical situation that the Iraqi people are facing.”

“The Religious Authority in Najaf province has its own media outlets and whatever is mentioned in other websites is groundless,” the statement added.

“We do confirm that Sagheer does not state his statements in such an ambiguous way and the only source of his statements is his website which is www.sh-alsagheer.com,’ the statement concluded.
