Iraqi Parliament starts regular session to vote on crucial law drafts

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Iraqi Parliament has started its regular session headed by the Speaker Osama al-Nijaifi, to vote on several laws as well as summoning the Minister of Youth & Sports, Jasim Mohamed Jaafar, on charges related to financial and administrative corruption.

Parliamentary source told Iraqi News “The session of the Parliament has started after being delayed for half an hour due to lack of quorum. The session includes the vote on the Federal Court law draft and the Supreme Judicial Court law.”

“The agenda of the session also involves discussing issuance of a law to ban the internal military fighting that was proposed by the MP Haval Saeed of Tagheer bloc,” the source added noting “The session will witness hosting the Minister of Youth and Sports.”
